The second wave of the epidemic is occurring in Hungary. The government’s goal is to keep the country running and not let the virus paralyze everyday life. However, this requires compliance with general precautions. The government also assessed the epidemiological situation at its meeting on Wednesday, information on which is provided in today’s Government Info.
The virus is spreading dynamically throughout Europe, so border controls and entry restrictions are maintained. In a briefing on Tuesday, Dr. Cecília Müller, the national medical director, asked people to avoid mass events.
Note that The use of the mask is mandatory not only in shops and public transport, but also in cinemas, theaters, shopping centers, health and social care institutions and customer reception offices. After 23:00, restaurants and entertainment venues must be closed.
To curb the spread of the community, we will continue to avoid places where there are many people indoors, preferably keep social distance, wash your hands frequently and thoroughly. Anyone who has received the official home quarantine order for a stay abroad or for any other reason must strictly comply. Anyone with symptoms should not go into the community but should stay home and notify their GP by phone.
The protection of elderly and chronic patients is of the utmost importance. Older people are also asked to pay more attention to themselves and general precautions. Visiting hospitals and nursing homes is prohibited. And nursing home owners should do everything they can to prevent infection. If a focal point takes place in a social institution or anywhere else in the community, the epidemiological deployment unit will take the necessary actions.
The measurement of body temperature is mandatory in schools and kindergartens to filter out feverish children and educators and thus protect the smooth running of kindergartens and schools. During the fall break, which is now beginning, disinfectant cleanings will be held in the schools so that teaching can continue uninterrupted. Operational staff currently ordered emergency breaks at 73 kindergartens and 40 schools, and digital work schedules for 172 classes and 16 entire schools due to coronavirus illnesses.
In addition to maintaining health protection, the government is also working on additional economic and family protection measures, operational staff said today.
