No opposition party officially participates in the blockade announced by Bernadett Szél, Ákos Hadházy and Szabolcs Szabó, which politicians announced for the national holiday on October 23 at the headquarters of state television, ATV learned. The three independent representatives want to act against propaganda and hate speech.

The opposition deputy wants to block the television house on October 23.

Previously, Ákos Hadházy invited 100,000 people to the MTVA headquarters, and ATV Híradó contacted all parties to see if they would participate in the action. DK, MSZP, Jobbik, LMP, Momentum and Dialogue also declared, mainly referring to the epidemic situation, that they would not take part in the blockade and that the SZFE issue would be prioritized that day. A representative of the Liberals at ATV Start on Tuesday morning indicated that they would also not attend the event.

As is well known, on a night of the protests against the slave law in December 2018, opposition MPs entered the MTVA headquarters, where they wanted to read their five-point claim live. It didn’t work out, the next morning Bernadett Szél and Ákos Hadházy were also expelled from the building by security guards. This led to a lawsuit and, in February 2020, a final verdict was issued stating that MTVA had no right to take action against members of parliament.

In December 2018, all opposition parties participated in the action.
