Several health unions are beginning to collect signatures to understand with the government: under current conditions, doctors will not accept their new contracts.
The Hungarian Doctors’ Union collects declarations of intention to “leave the system,” according to an article in Népszava, Zoltán Szabad, president of the organization, told Medicalonline. In this, the workers express their intention not to sign new labor contracts because they do not want to be subject to the new Law on Legal Relations.
According to the union leader, if enough signatures are gathered, the government may be forced to negotiate an amendment to the law.
An alliance with four other unions was formed, called the Alliance for Health. In this way, it became a representative of 12,000 people, covering almost the entire sector.
