Entry rules for passenger traffic have changed since Saturday, but you can enter Hungary without restrictions because Hungary received a positive safety risk rating, the deputy head of the coronavirus disease control operational center said on Monday at a online press conference.

Lieutenant Colonel Róbert Kiss said: From an epidemiological point of view, Austria does not distinguish between a third-country national and a citizen of the European Economic Area in relation to entry involving passenger traffic, following the risk security classification epidemiological that you have established.

For some countries, there is a regional safety risk classification and countries with an epidemiological risk can only travel to Austria with a negative PCR test. The restrictions do not affect the previous rules on international transit.

The lieutenant colonel asked that those who wish to travel abroad ensure that they are allowed to enter their destination country.

During the weekend, the police had to deal with 4 restaurants because they did not follow the restrictive rules. In one case a warning was used and in 3 cases a violation report was used. Commenting on the latter, Róbert Kiss commented that an infringement report was filed in Esztergom on Friday night, because the guests were treated after 23 hours in a nightclub, consuming alcohol on the spot. Rapes were also reported in two restaurants in central Budapest. To date, a total of 64 police actions have been required in restaurants for breach of restricted hours.
