The Siófok women’s handball team announced on its official website that head coach Bent Dahl was leaving guard and Nerea Peña was suspended.

As stated in the announcement, the specialist and the club terminated the contract by mutual agreement, according to which Bent Dahl will leave Siófok with immediate effect.
The Norwegian coach came to the Balaton shore team last January as an assistant to Tor Odvar Moen, but when Moen left the guard for family reasons, Dahl took over as head coach.
Siófok’s record in six winning matches was six wins and three losses: the failed performance led the parties to terminate the contract.
The club also later issued another announcement announcing that Nerea Peña had been suspended: the decision is for an indefinite period of time and means that the player will not be able to participate in the team’s training or matches.
Siófok has been in contact with Pena’s manager, so more news on the matter is expected soon.
