In late October, the municipality of Debrecen will discuss a proposal to take the company behind the soccer team out of the casino business. Consequently, the company in question, DVSC Futball Zrt Gábor Szima also from existing ownership participation in their casinos – wrote mfor.hu.

In 2014, Gábor Szima won the right to operate the Debrecen and Nyíregyháza units when the casino market was divided. In the companies created for the direct task, that is, in Cívis Grand Casino Kft. And Onyx Casino Kft., The company behind DVSC originally took over as minority owner of 40-40 percent.

However, team ownership soon dropped to 24-24 percent. The reason was that if a dominant owner in a casino company has public debt, it could jeopardize the casino concession. And with a 25 percent stake, there is no such risk. The change was not indisputable, as the Debrecen General Meeting only contributed to the reduction of the shareholding on the condition that, in the original circumstances, DVSC accounted for 40% of the dividends withdrawn from the casinos. In practice, however, the team received a 24 percent share.

Now DVSC Futball Zrt. It would also eliminate this 24 percent, according to the proposal. According to the article, this is not independent of the fact that Gábor Szima left the soccer team at the beginning of the summer, nor the fact that Zrt. He did not receive dividends from the casinos according to the agreements.

Based on the determination of the face value, the DVSC property can be purchased by the casino owner, Gábor Szima, for a total of 230 million HUF.
