New details of support for home renovation have been revealed. Parents who receive a home care allowance for their chronically ill child will be entitled to the benefit regardless of the child’s age. Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced last week that the VAT on newly built flats would return to 5 percent. Parliamentary Secretary of State Róbert Zsigó said in a radio interview that the government will soon introduce new elements of the home production program, it was revealed in Bulletin M1.

Starting in January, you can apply for renewal help. The family home discount is further extended. Be it an energy modernization, an extension or a bathroom renovation, half of the costs are borne by the state, up to a maximum of 3 million HUF. They can be claimed by those who raise at least one child.

There will be an age limit on the conditions, but an exception will be made for parents receiving a home care allowance for their chronically ill child: the Minister Without Portfolio for Families spoke on Friday about ATV’s Straight Talk .

Katalin Novák emphasized that

the program is implemented from national sources, thanks to which labor and material costs will be accounted for.

The Hungarian State Treasury will be the partner in this. There will be no pre-survey in place where someone can confirm that this renovation is in order. But when the work is done, the invoices are collected, sent to the Hungarian State Treasury and the reference is received in a short period of time.Novák said.

Families buying a newly built home can also expect more favorable conditions next year. Starting in January, VAT on new properties will be reduced from the current 27 percent to five percent.

Chocolate families can even claim this amount, which means they can get a new house completely VAT free.

We have launched the largest home building program in decades; This was already mentioned by the parliamentary secretary of state of the Minister without portfolio for families in the Sunday newspaper of Kossuth Radio.

Róbert Zsigó highlighted that

the government also supports families in epidemic situations. They hope the program will also stimulate the economy.

The Secretary of State added that more large-scale elements will be added to the government’s housing construction program soon.
