The 35-year-old from Szombathely took a confident victory at the Mogyoród track starting from pole position in race three. Behind Kiss, Czech Adam Lacko finished second and defending champion of the European championship, Jochen Hahn Germany, third. Kiss and Lacko also got off to a great start, the latter reacting perhaps a hair quicker to the green signal, but the Hungarian driver firmly held MAN on the inside corner at the stopping distance of the first corner, thus retaining first place.

In the sequel, Kiss dictated a fast pace, he was more than a second faster than his pursuers per lap, so in the end he succeeded without being disturbed by anyone.

Behind him, Lacko and Hahn fought to the end, but then the German driver decided two laps before the knockout to decide not to attempt to overtake any further.

In race four, Kiss, starting from eighth, pushed his way through those in front with a big lead and deservedly won the race. Kiss had to start from eighth position in this race due to the reverse grid rule, as he was called the winner in the third race above. Szombathely’s competitor did not rely on anything random after the start, struggled unbearably to make his way through the forwards, was second in the middle of the second lap and chased after French leader Anthony Janiec.

Kiss gave his rival nearly two seconds in a lap and a half, who was then easily overtaken in the stopping distance of the first corner at the start of the fifth lap. The third victory of the two-time European champion this weekend could no longer be avoided by anyone,

behind him, the defending champion of Europe, the German Jochen Hahn, was second, while Janiec was third. Kiss thus won three of the four races of the weekend and finished second in the first race on Saturday afternoon, taking the lead in the compound points race.

This year’s European Truck Championship season is scheduled to end in Misano, Italy on November 14-15.
