Due to the flooding in Hernád, the number of closed road sections and closed settlements in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county increased overnight and in the morning, said Norbert Sándor Pécsi, head of the communications department of Magyar Közút Nonprofit Zrt . Yesterday we already reported that the floodwaters closed Hernádszentandrás from the surrounding settlements.

According to the information, due to the flooding of Hernád, a section of the connecting road between Kiskinizs and Hernádkércs had to be closed, Kiskinizset was cut off from the outside world by the river. The situation has not improved in Hernádszentandrás either, and there is still an obstacle between Novajidrány and Vizsoly. Motorists can reach Encs or Gönc. Due to the high water level in Hernád, a complete cut had to be ordered on the side road between Sajólád and Bőcs.

The water level is also high in the other river in northern Hungary, the Sajo. Due to the flooding of the river, a section of the Putnok to Sajóvelezd road and the Sajóvelezd to Vadna road are still closed today. Closed sections can be avoided via main road 26.

The road near Sajógalgóc is also covered in water, currently there is only one dirt road to get there. The road between Muhi and Nail is also closed. Due to the flooding, the ferry does not work either.
