Italian Sports Minister Vincenzo Spadafora believes that Juventus star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has violated the safety standards set to prevent the spread of the coronavirus epidemic.

The politician answered yes on Thursday on Rai Radio Uno to the question whether the player had broken the rules by returning to Turin despite his quarantine obligations.

The 35-year-old Portuguese soccer player, with five times the golden ball, was found in the national team’s camp in Lisbon that he had contracted the corona virus, but flew back to Italy on Wednesday to pass the period of quarantine there.

Spadafora also spoke about the possible return of the fans to the stadiums, according to him this will surely not happen until mid-November.

The suggestion from each region was that 25 percent of the spectators could enter the stadiums, but this could not yet be allowed. They will see the epidemic curve unfold in mid-November, said the Sports Minister.

Meanwhile, the number of new infections per day in Italy set a record on Thursday. In the last 24 hours, 8,804 new infections have been registered, almost 1,500 more than in the peak on Wednesday, since 7,332 new coronaviruses were reported.
