The politician answered yes on Rai Radio Uno on Thursday to the question whether the player had broken the rules upon returning to Turin despite his quarantine obligations, MTI sheds light on the background.

The 35-year-old Portuguese soccer player, with five times the golden ball, was found in the national team’s camp in Lisbon that he had contracted the corona virus, but flew back to Italy on Wednesday to pass the period of quarantine there.

Spadafora also spoke about the possible return of the fans to the stadiums, according to him this will surely not happen until mid-November.

The suggestion from each region was that 25 percent of the spectators could enter the stadiums, but this could not yet be allowed. They will see the epidemic curve unfold in mid-November, said the Sports Minister.
