On Wednesday, President János Áder ordered the enactment of a health law that also included a medical salary increase. In his statement in this regard, the Head of State stressed that the decision was made by a little experienced professional, political or commission consensus.
The law is found to be unconstitutional.
In a statement published on the website of the Presidency of the Republic, the Head of State wrote:
No substantiated constitutional objection can be raised to the law, the implementing regulations can provide answers to questions still open until the law enters into force.
János Áder recalled that on October 6, 2020, Parliament approved the Law on the Legal Relationship of Health Services, which affects the working conditions of health and medical professionals, the evaluation of their work and various areas of healthcare activity .
The proposal was presented to parliament through an agreement between the Hungarian Medical Chamber and the government, said the head of state in his statement, adding that the law was approved unanimously by Parliament in an exceptional procedure, with the support of all opposition parties.
Lack of dialogue, proposals will be made to reform the law.
