The number of fatalities in the coronavirus epidemic in Hungary has exceeded one thousand.

Half a year after the spring outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the second wave of the pandemic has arrived. The radical increase in the number of infected is forcing more and more countries to re-impose restrictions, despite the fact that the world economy has not even recovered from the effects of the spring outbreak. Another 920 people were diagnosed with coronavirus infection in Hungary, increasing the number of infections identified to 40,782, the official information page of koronavirus.gov.hu ​​reported.

27 patients died (the official site describes them as elderly, chronic patients), bringing the number of deaths to 1,023, and 12,164 have already recovered. The number of actively infected people is 27,595.

33 percent of those actively infected, 44 percent of the dead and 31 percent of those recovered were from Budapest. 1,538 coronavirus patients are hospitalized, 156 of whom are on ventilators.

In the country, a total of 850,878 coronavirus tests have been carried out so far, according to official data, 9,658 in the last day.

The operational court currently ordered emergency breaks in 39 kindergartens and 20 schools, and digital work schedules for 165 classes and 5 entire schools for coronary heart disease.
