The coronavirus epidemic, according to preliminary estimates by health professionals and government statements, will reach its peak in the Advent period, that is, at the end of November and December. This prognosis is supported by the trend in recent weeks of a record increase in morbidity and mortality.

Taking into account the guidelines of the capital’s operational staff, the company’s management made the responsible decision that this year’s fair will be lost due to the epidemic situation, considering that holding the fair would endanger life, health or the physical integrity of those participants, BFTK emphasized in its statement.

They added that given the increase in epidemiological data, the big cities of neighboring countries are preparing a similar measure and hardening the celebration of similar events.

BFTK supports Hungarian artisans in this difficult situation, that is why it is planning a campaign to help them, within the framework of which we ask the population to buy and donate artisan products also for the holidays this year.

– said Csaba Faix, managing director of BFTK.

The capital’s tourism company is waiting for new incorporations and the companies of the initiative, as the main source of income for this service sector, Easter and Christmas, which were left behind this year, want to make up for this deficit.
