Preventive measures previously introduced in schools are enough to protect against coronavirus

– said Zoltán Maruzsa, Secretary of State for Public Education at the Ministry of Human Resources, on the morning show on Kossuth Radio on Monday. According to the Secretary of State, the current situation is not yet serious enough to take further action.

To measure body temperature, the government provided 41,000 digital thermometers to public educational institutions, and heated doors were also installed in the largest buildings.

Their written fall graduations are organized according to spring-tested methods, so by following the distance rules, it is possible to participate in exams in small groups. Orals are carried out in contrast to the spring procedure, but also only in small groups.

There are currently 24 kindergartens with extraordinary breaks, representing 0.81 per cent of kindergartens. 17 schools were temporarily closed and 102 schools introduced digital education outside the classroom in one or two classes affected by viruses.

Zoltán Maruzsa also announced that as of October 23 there will be an autumn break in schools, which is

it may be suitable for “removing” the virus from infected institutions.
