1,173 new cases of coronavirus were registered in Hungary in the last 24 hours, increasing the number of infected people in Hungary to 38,837, and in the last week an average of 1,053 new patients were found:

A total of 8,527 tests have been carried out in the last 24 hours, compared to more than 11,000 in the last days. Therefore, it is not surprising that the proportion of positive tests within all tests has increased to 13.7%.

There are 14 chronic patients who have died, so the number of deaths has risen to 968 and 11,037 have already been recovered, the portal writes. The current 14 deaths are less than those reported in recent days, but the 7-day moving average is still closer to 20 people a day.

Among the deceased elderly patients were a 55-year-old man with high blood pressure and dementia as an underlying disease, and a 61-year-old woman struggling with high blood pressure.

The number of active infected people was 26,832, so it started to rise again. 33% of the actively infected, 46% of the dead and 32% of those recovered were from Budapest.

According to the new dynamic data provision ordered in hospitals, 1,418 coronavirus patients are cared for in the hospital, which means that 166 were hospitalized in one day. 154 of them are connected to fans, so that number has increased by 16 in the last 24 hours.

More details coming soon.
