Many rescue and disaster workers were alerted after an accident at the bioethanol plant in Dunaföldvár. 13 were seriously injured and 15 were more easily injured, Origo learned from the National Ambulance Service. Since there are many people involved, they were transferred to four hospitals. A bus was also needed to bring them.

A total of 28 people were injured in an accident at the biouna ethanol plant in Dunaföldvár this morning. Ambulances marched with several cars and four rescue helicopters to the massive accident. The 28 people were already treated at the scene and only then were they transferred to the hospital.

13 were seriously injured. Typically, all the wounded scratched and torn their throats, with the most serious injuries having difficulty breathing.

A bus was also needed to take everyone to the hospital. The large number of people was transferred to a total of four hospitals: Dunaújváros, Székesfehérvár, Szekszárd and Kecskemét, we learned about it from the National Ambulance Service.

As we wrote above: for a reason that has not been clarified so far, a large amount of gas has been released into the air from the operating area of ​​the Dunaföldvár bioethanol plant.

When filling a seven cubic meter hypotank in the open air, an unsuitable substance, nitric acid, was spilled, according to current information. Chlorine gas was released in reaction with the two substances, which could have caused poisoning.

After the accident, a large number of firefighters were also alerted, who marched around the tank with a protective beam, among other things.

People in the area were asked to close their doors and windows. It is not yet known how much gas has spilled onto the ground.
