The nature of the coronavirus epidemic has changed: the spread is within communities, which also means that it is significantly more difficult to control, said Miklós Kásler, head of the Ministry of Human Resources at Spirit FM. The age of the infected is increasingly shifting outward.

The Minister also spoke about the fact that in late August and early September the epidemic generally affected the younger generation, this has changed since then, the age group is constantly shifting towards the older ones – you can read on atv.hu .

“Currently, viral infections are the most common among people between 50 and 65 years old, accounting for 40 to 45 percent of all infections, and people over 65 are affected between 8 and 10 percent,” said the minister. The remaining percentages are completed by those aged 20 to 40.

“The goal of involving hospitals is to keep infected patients in as few hospitals as possible so that there are no focal points within hospitals,” continued the minister. In the first phase, the coronavirus patients were transferred to the St. Ladislaus Hospital, the Korányi Institute and the St. John Hospital in Budapest. In the second stage, eight more institutions in Budapest can participate.

“There are approximately as many or fewer health workers infected as in the first wave. Since March, two health workers have died from the virus,” Kasler said.

The national medical director, Cecília Müller, last reported in early October how many health workers were infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, then 481 people became infected.
