The minister in charge of the prime minister has said that “homosexual propaganda” has no place among children.

“It is about whether there is a place for homosexual propaganda in front of children. I do not think so, and it is worth thinking about whether putting a minor in danger materializes ”.

– said Gergely Gulyás, minister in charge of the Prime Minister’s Office, in the government briefing on Thursday, when the Pest Guys journalist asked if it was acceptable to read the fairy tale book Fairy Tale for Everyone in various “districts”.

We did not find any trace of the introduction of reading the book in kindergartens, and the document did not mention any details about it. At the Atrium Theater in the second district, a morning session was held on everyone’s weekend in Fairytale Land, and in the third district, the Hintalovon Foundation, which also deals with LGBTQ issues, is responsible for the child protection. The truth, however, is that the Fidesz mayor of Csepel, Lénárd Borbély, banned the storybook from the district’s kindergartens.

According to Gulyás, the assumption is more serious than if it were a simple awareness training, because, although the cold shakes the word, it could even mean good. He added that if the crime of reading the storybook in kindergarten could indeed be established, criminal proceedings would be initiated against the person in charge.

According to Gulyás, although he did not agree with them, all previous regulations in which the socialist government guaranteed the rights of men of the same sex remained intact. That is why he does not see any social problem in Hungary in this matter: as he says,

“When someone becomes an adult, they decide how they live their life, or by then they decide on a genetic basis, I don’t want to go into that. But carrying out homosexual propaganda in kindergartens or schools raises suspicions of harm, unacceptability and crime. “

When another journalist was faced with the fact that the storybook only mentions homosexuality and was asked if the knowledge was considered propaganda, the minister said that the mention was not propaganda and that adults read the book calmly.

The book Fairy Tale for Everyone is an anthology of fairy tales, it also includes gay and transgender characters, but most of the book does not have an LGBTQ theme. Per the book, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said: Hungary is patient with regard to homosexuality, but there is a red line, leave our children alone.
