Due to an accident, the traffic between Ferencváros and Kelenföld is suspended – reported MÁVINFORM. According to the company, two freight trains collided and derailed on the section of track between the Connecting Railway Bridge and the Ferencváros station, which once dawned from Tuesday to Wednesday. Technical rescue can take a long time, so a temporary traffic regime is expected to be introduced on Wednesday night.

The InterCity trains on the Pécs line, the long-distance trains on the Hegyeshalom line and the capital’s terminal of suburban services S36 and G43 are located at Budapest-Kelenföld station instead of Kőbánya-Kispest. At Kelenföld station, these trains depart from tracks 1 and 2.

Starting at 5 a.m. M., Train tickets, season passes and travel passes can be used on BKK flights in the following sections:

– on the M4 metro between Keleti train station and Kelenföld train station

– at the M3 metro station between Kőbánya-Kispest and Népliget

– on tram 1 between Népliget – Ferencváros train station – Kelenföld train station

In the morning, delays are expected on long-distance trains on the Pécs and Hegyeshalom lines, as well as on the S36 and G43 services.
