This year, a limited number of discount chain private label clothing collections have appeared in stores in various countries, including Lidl shoes, T-shirts, slippers, socks and leggings. The chain recently announced that it would also bring these products to Hungary, but, presumably strengthening exclusivity, it did not set a date for the introduction. Their recent special newspaper now reveals that as of October 5, these products will also be sold in Hungarian units.

On April 1 last year, Lidl’s Facebook page in Germany came up with a joke: They posted a photo of their own sports shoe brand. Lidl’s yellow-blue-red shoe graphics were received with such enthusiasm that four hundred of them were produced in the fall and distributed through a giveaway, G7.hu previously wrote.

Lidl shoes were also sold in limited quantities and immediately became a cult item in susceptible subcultures, with two thousand pairs of shoes ripped in Belgium in July this year, for example. The demand for shoes sold for 13 euros (4600 guilders) was so high that they were sold on the Internet for up to a hundred times the price. In fact, there were some who offered shoes on eBay for $ 6,700 this summer.

In September, the chain started selling shoes again in its stores and webshop in Germany, and even launched a full collection of private labels. Although Lidl has revealed that the collection will be published in Hungary in the near future, it did not say exactly when.

Now the page is the current promotional newspaper 40-41. the new collection offers were “hidden” on the side. The chain offers the famous Lidl shoes for HUF 4,999, while the socks, t-shirts, leggings and slippers available in the women’s and men’s editions are promoted at prices between HUF 499 and HUF 1999, who knows how long. What’s more, there was even a raffle.
