The salary deal only favors doctors, in its one-sided form it can lead to massive life difficulties, career abandonment and even emigration among professionals, writes the Hungarian Chamber of Health Professionals (MESZK), which expressed frustration with the relationship of the medical service in an open letter to the Medical Chamber.

Until now, we have believed that we will represent our healthcare colleagues together in solidarity. Now, sadly, we have to express our frustration. We hope that the Hungarian Medical Chamber stands in solidarity with us, does not pass the law in this way and does not participate in any way in its implementation.

– read in a statement sent to the MTI on Tuesday.

They were reminded that their public body, which did not endorse the document, only had four hours to comment on the bill. They added that the reason for the rejection is basically not the medical salary table published in the annex to the law, but the expectations and requirements described in the legislation, which, according to them, project a disadvantageous situation for professionals, and adversely affect many areas of the health care system, making patient care precarious.

Zoltán Balogh, president of the MESZK, wrote in an open letter to the president of the Medical Chamber, Gyula Kincses, that there are significant changes in the legal relationship that fundamentally change the practice of hiring professionals. It is feared that this will make it impossible for some institutions to function due to the lack of human resources for professionals, as the issue of multiple legal relationships will significantly harden.

A significant part of the Hungarian professional faculty can guarantee financial security, which was rightly required jointly in previous negotiations, jointly holding second and even third places.

– added the president of MESZK. Professionals believe that wage agreements in such a one-sided form and schedule, coupled with employment restrictions, can result in massive livelihood difficulties, career dropouts, and even abandonment of countries. Highlights:

The maintenance of the home care system and the fight against the coronavirus epidemic are due not only to the position of Hungarian doctors, but also to all health workers and those working in social care.

According to the chamber, healthcare professionals could find themselves in an extremely unfair position if their relationship with the civil service ends in 2021 without consultation.

ESSZ: The cost of increasing doctors’ salaries is too high

The Association of Intellectual Property Trade Unions (ETSZT) expressed its dismay at the urgency with which the law on the legal status of the health service had been presented to parliament and passed under the guise of a medical salary increase. According to your ad

regrets that the Government continues to insist on a solution that cannot be described as democratic and the rule of law without the participation of the parties concerned;

The government has only allowed interest groups four hours to comment on a law that will transfer health and healthcare workers from the State Civil Service Law to a law of military rigor.

It’s gratifying that the medical community is also on board with the need to withdraw thank you money, but they certainly did not want them to be subject to prohibitive and restrictive provisions that have so far only been exemplified by armed workers and law enforcement.

– The ESSZ formulates in its communication, which hopes that the government will consider before the law enters into force what supply problems it may cause in the current state of the law and will review it with the participation of the interested parties.
