The court ordered the arrest of a man who tried to obtain a gun from a policeman at a bus station in Budapest on Friday. Proceedings were initiated in preparation for the assassination.
The young man stood behind a police officer at a train station in a shopping center in Budapest on Friday afternoon and tried to take his gun on suspicion. He wanted to get it out of the case on his belt.The policeman noticed the movement and prevented it, although the man tried several times. The other police officers then handcuffed the man.
According to the prosecution, the objective of the 24-year-old was to shoot the police with the acquired weapon.
The man admitted that he wanted to obtain the weapon, but denied that he wanted to kill them. Subsequently, both he and his lawyer filed a complaint against the suspicion.
The Central Investigation Prosecutor’s Office proposed the arrest of the detainee, and the court ordered it this morning.
