According to a conservative British journal, Oxford University vaccine researchers are confident that the vaccine they have developed will be approved by UK authorities later this year, and some health officials hope to give each adult a dose. of the vaccine within six months.

One of the government sources quoted stated that, although the authorities are considering a period of six months, it is likely that the mass vaccination program will be implemented much earlier. According to sources at The Times, there are already regulations that allow vaccinating a wide range of health workers, and their training will begin in a few weeks.

Logistical plans include building car vaccination stations where vaccinations can be administered to car occupants. There are already car coronavirus testing stations that function similarly in the UK.

The armed forces are likely to help with the implementation of the huge vaccination program, the British newspaper said on Saturday. The British coronavirus vaccine, considered the most promising in professional circles, was developed by scientists at the University of Oxford. The university has already agreed with the pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca on production and distribution should the coronavirus vaccine be successful in human trials since April.

AstraZeneca CEO Pascal Soriot recently told BBC television that the UK government had commissioned the company to produce hundreds of millions of units of the vaccine if the trial program was successful. British Health Minister Matt Hancock said shortly after that AstraZeneca would start production before the vaccine was approved so that the vaccine could be stored in sufficient quantities for clinical approval and ready for use by health authorities.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who described developments in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic in a televised speech the other day, said doctors and government advisers unanimously say the situation will be much better by spring. Not only is there hope that a vaccine will be available by then, but also that massive and effective detection methods will soon be available to test within minutes, the British prime minister said.
