24.hu writes that László Borsodi, former Fidesz mayor of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, was legally sentenced to 1 year and 10 months in prison. The man admitted everything in the Nyíregyháza District Court, the execution of his sentence was suspended for 3 years.
László Borsodi resigned from his post on July 29 without justification, 24.hu wrote a month ago that Borsodi was sued for harassment allegations in 2017, and then several of his digital devices were confiscated by the police.
The Prosecutor’s Office also charged him in October 2018 for violating the disclosure of false honorary images made to the detriment of two women and for violating an information system. The image was sexually explicit.
24.hu writes that, according to the court ruling, Borsodi and the two victims were connected for a time. After the disconnection, the man created fake profiles on social networking sites and image-sharing sites known to the victims and, without their consent, uploaded erotic photos and videos of them, including their names and contact information. After that, the victims received several phone calls with tacky offers. According to the newspaper, this is how Borsodi could have wanted revenge for the broken relationship, and a municipal worker said that “the mayor could not process the breakup.”
The newspaper writes that Borsodi also sent out-of-date messages via pseudo-profiles and printed a forged and pre-edited erotic photo of one of the offended women, duplicated it, and spread it in hundreds of copies in Nyíregyháza and surrounding settlements.
He was mayor of Borsod when he was able to commit the crime, and there were already accusations when he was re-elected in October 2019 with a majority of almost 50 percent. (24)
