Telex.hu was launched, founded by journalists who left Index in late July.
“Telex will be fair, critical and curious, we will be talking about politics, economics, sports, science, entertainment stories, technology, cultural events, gastronomy in text, video and graphic genres. And this is just the beginning, then we are constantly developing both the themes and the formats, ”said editor-in-chief Veronika Munk.
The launch of Telex was funded by donations and the newspaper is now available for free. At the time, its journalists told Index that the editor in charge, László Bodolai, had fired editor-in-chief Szabolcs Dull because he thought he had passed on trade secrets to the competition. Later, it turned out that a week and a half before Dull’s mass layoff and firing, the company that had become the owner of telex.hu had been established.
