According to the decision we reached, the presidency of the Hungarian Film Academy removed Emil Novák from his post on Thursday, who was appointed by Attila Vidnyánszky a day earlier as rector general of the University of Theater and Film Arts (SZFE). The organization’s presidency called a meeting of delegates for October 16 to elect a new presidency. The Hungarian Academy, founded in 2014, organizes the Hungarian Film Week every year, where the Hungarian Film Awards are awarded based on the secret votes of the members.
