The background to the case was that in March 2019, the Cybercrime Division of the National Bureau of Investigation of the Reserve Police identified a third district kindergarten teacher and her partner who had sexually abused the niece of the childhood of the woman. The investigation found that the man also had sexual acts with his own son. The two suspects distributed child pornography images of their sexual abuse on various pedophile forums on the dark web.

At the suspects’ residence, investigators seized computer equipment in which additional images and videos of child pornography were found.
According to the Óbuda municipality, the internal investigation, which makes quite serious allegations about the district’s previous management, was completed on September 30. Referring to the intention to cover up the case, the district said that the previous municipal administration had taken steps to prevent the case from coming to light.
