Along with four other countries, we are also in the red box of the European Center for Disease Prevention (ECDC).

Coronavirus: the second wave

Half a year after the spring outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the second wave of the pandemic has arrived. The radical increase in the number of infected is forcing more and more countries to re-impose restrictions, although the world economy has not even recovered from the effects of the spring outbreak. According to the posters, the second wave also reached Hungary. Follow our news!

Starting Tuesday, four more EU countries, including Hungary, will be marked in red on the coronavirus map of the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), the CNN. The Netherlands, Iceland, and Denmark have also been added to the map.

The center has added countries to the red list where the number of new infections per 100,000 in the past two weeks has exceeded 120.

The ECDC list is led by Spain, where the number of new infections per 100,000 people (that is, the number registered in the last two weeks) is 320.

The ECDC map essentially shows the severity of the epidemic in each European country. According to Tuesday’s update, Hungary is the ninth worst in this regard.
