The Department of Cardiac Surgery of the Department of Internal Medicine and the Heart Center of the Albert Szent-Györgyi Clinical Center of the University of Szeged were closed due to the coronavirus. The department is not accepting new patients.

Referring to the institution’s announcement, 24.hu writes that it provides care for patients who have already been treated at the clinic, but no new patients are admitted, for which the National Center for Public Health has designated four other centers.

Citing the health sources of the Hungarian orange on Friday

wrote that both health workers and clinic patients became infected and therefore heart surgery was closed.

A relative of a patient in the ward told the newspaper that he knew there were four infected among the patients, but that they had undergone a negative coronavirus test. Although they cite a health source, at least eight of the workers are coronavirus. The portal searched for the institution but has not yet received a response.
