The prime minister warned after a meeting of operational staff on Saturday morning that the numbers are likely to rise.

Coronavirus: the second wave

Half a year after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in the spring, the second wave of the pandemic has arrived. The radical increase in the number of infected is forcing more and more countries to re-impose restrictions, despite the fact that the world economy has not even recovered from the effects of the spring outbreak. According to the posters, the second wave also reached Hungary. Follow our news!

The second wave also started with great momentum in Hungary, Viktor Orbán said in his Facebook video after visiting the Operational Tribe meeting on Saturday morning.

According to the Prime Minister, the capacities of hospitals are periodically reviewed and there are currently enough beds, equipment, a ventilator and a doctor. And while there are epidemic hospital capacities “degreased”, they don’t need to be opened now, he added.

However, the prime minister also warned that numbers are likely to rise and that epidemic hospitals will have to open at some point, but the country still has a safe amount of reserves.

On Friday the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was detected in 950 new Hungarian citizens, increasing the number of infected people in Hungary to 23,077. Twelve patients died, bringing the death toll to 730, and 5099 have already recovered.

There are good and bad parts of the new EU asylum pact, but Hungarians still don’t want to live in an open society, Viktor Orbán told Reuters. The prime minister said that Trump would certainly win, and that Brexit was primarily the responsibility of the EU, the British were brave enough to resign.

According to the prime minister, hundreds of thousands of people infected with the coronavirus can be cared for by medical care, but according to our information, even the largest hospitals have not been able to examine more than fifty of their colleagues every day. As the government fights a war of words, the supply stations groan under a double burden.
