Nicolás Escobar assures that the money was hidden in the wall.

The nephew of the infamous cocaine baron Pablo Escobar, Nicolás Escobar, claims to have found $ 18 million in one of his uncle’s former hideouts. He informed the Colombian media, according to the BBC, that he had found an insatiable amount of money on the wall of an apartment in Medellín.

He also said that it was not the first time he had found money in one of Pablo’s hiding places. The man also reported that unfortunately much of the money has been damaged over the years and cannot be used. He has lived in the apartment where he found the bills for five years.

At the height of his power, some calculated that Pablo Escobar was the seventh richest man in the world, having been on the Forbes list several times. He based his fortune on drug smuggling, and about 80 percent of the cocaine trafficked to the United States in his busiest years came from his cartel. The drug dealer died in 1993 during a shootout with the police.
