The Mezőkövesd District Prosecutor’s Office has formally charged a 25-year-old man with harassing a woman on the street because her partner ran over her for resigning.
One of the people who lives in the town near Mezőkövesd came out in front of his apartment on the night of July to look at the street and then noticed that his ex-partner was talking to his current partner nearby. The man overheard his current partner ask the other woman if the rumor that she had had sex with the man in the nearby forest the day before was true.
The woman did not deny the fly, so the man began to loudly scold his ex-partner, then took off his slippers and threw them at the exe. The slippers didn’t hit the woman, but the man didn’t let go. He approached the woman, then grabbed her by the hair and tried to throw her to the ground while slapping her twice.
The woman suffered injuries that healed in eight days as a result of the abuse, but did not file a private motion against the man due to a minor bodily injury. The man’s defiant and anti-community behavior was apt to cause outrage and alarm to those who perceived it. The district attorney’s office asked for the public interest work and a fine for the man.
