Telex, the page for outgoing indexers, could start with 70 journalists, according to the editorial’s statement posted on Facebook on Wednesday.
The list of seventy includes mostly journalists who resigned together at the Index led by László Bodolai at the end of August following the appointment of Szabolcs Dull as editor-in-chief. However, their new newspaper, Telex editor-in-chief Veronika Munk, has previously said that they will not be able to employ all of the index’s nearly 90 employees on the editorial staff. There were also those who moved on to other press products.
Incidentally, Telex’s editorial office announced earlier this week that it had made a letter of intent to donate 200,000 euros to Economia, which is owned by one of the largest Czech publishers, Zdeněk Bakala.
