Arrested by the 62-year-old Metropolitan Court on charges of sexual violence and other crimes L. Tibort, who sexually abused children for four years in one of Óbuda’s primary schools.

The man worked as a janitor and later as a gardener-maintainer at Keve Street School. He also performed soccer and juggling shows and attended children’s camps. The man took advantage of the girls’ trust in her and since 2015 he sexually approached several students, endangered their development, stroked several of them and sexually abused them.

The Budapest General Prosecutor’s Office requested 11 years and 8 months in prison for a man accused of continuing to commit sexual abuse against a person under the age of twelve, under the influence of the author, with the threat of 4 common minors and other crimes, if already found in the preparatory meeting. . As far as we know, Tibor L. confessed his action during the interrogation and said that he was very sorry for what he had done.

Although the man no longer works in a job that would give him a direct opportunity to commit similar abuses, the court says the risk of recidivism still exists. And in the opinion of experts in psychiatry, a man is also likely to participate in similar acts in other settings.

Not to mention that his efforts thus far also suggest that he would attempt to jeopardize the evidentiary process by influencing witnesses. Therefore, the criminal supervision of the man was lifted and his arrest was ordered. The court has not yet set a date for the preparatory hearing, but has already decided that there will be a closed-door hearing for the protection of minors.

We are updating!

Deputy Speaker of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Capital, Rabbi Ferenc communicated the following to us after the enforcement action was ordered:

The defendant was arrested by the court, rejecting the prosecutor’s motion to extend the detention, on June 25, 2020 and ordered the criminal supervision of the suspect on the grounds that the man could not leave his place of residence and carry a device tracking. The prosecution appealed against the order, however, on July 2, 2020, the Metropolitan Court, as a second instance court, confirmed the criminal supervision order. Therefore, the prosecution proposed “only” the maintenance of criminal supervision at the time of trial. The current arrest warrant is in line with the professional position of the Metropolitan Attorney General’s Office.
