According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the fugitive girls were forced into prostitution by a woman and her partner, for which they were charged, the Somogy County Attorney General’s Office informed the MTI.

The thirty-eight-year-old woman and her forty-three-year-old partner first hired in 2018 a vomited girl who had married the woman’s son at the age of seventeen to contribute prostitution to the expenses of a family that would otherwise be abandoned and that lives in a semi-comfortable home.

The vulnerable victim was taken daily to the stretch of Highway 61 between Inke and Vése to offer himself to motorists on the road. In addition, a thirty-eight-year-old woman, who also worked as a prostitute, organized telephone meetings, usually with foreign men. The girl gave the defendant the amount of between 10,000 and 25,000 florins received by living together.

Beginning in the summer of 2019 and then as of December 2019, the man and the woman received two more underage girls, who had also escaped from the institution, abusing their vulnerable position and forcing them into prostitution .

Therefore, the Prosecutor’s Office charged the woman and her partner with the crime of trafficking in human beings, committed under the supervision of several persons under eighteen years of age. A prison sentence of 10 to 10 years was proposed to the court if the defendants confessed their deeds at the preparatory hearing and waived the trial.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the defendants committed the act of trafficking in human beings because they were minors who did not have a family history to support them and depended on them for prostitution, regardless of whether the girls did it voluntarily. This is because minors had no other choice, they cannot give valid consent due to their vulnerability.
