According to him, the first wave of the coronavirus epidemic was “incredibly well handled” by the outgoing minister. However, Babis commented that he understood that Vojtechnek was fed up with “unfounded” attacks against him by the opposition and the press. According to the prime minister, Vojtech was a fair and very diligent minister.
Adam Vojtech is a non-partisan government member nominated for the velvet ministerial chair by the ruling UN movement. His departure has been demanded by the opposition for some time, citing his inability to cope with the epidemic, his actions were chaotic and caused damage to the country.
In the Czech Republic, it has risen dramatically over the past week, with the number of confirmed daily infections exceeding 3,000 on Thursday. Monday morning’s report from the Health Ministry shows that the number of active infections is around 24,000. Hospitals treat 513 patients, 87 of whom are in dire need of a ventilator. By Sunday, 503 people had died from the epidemic.
