Bertalan Tóth and Ágnes Kunhalmi elected co-chairs of 86% of the MSZP

The current president, Bertalan Tóth, and Agnes Kunhalmi he can lead the MSZP as co-chair for the next two years after his election was supported by 86 percent of delegates (225 of 261) at Saturday’s online congress. The MSZP decided to introduce the co-chair system in June.

There was also no competition for these positions and the ten presidencies, since the nominating commission decided that the members of the boards could be voted on in closed lists, so their composition could be decided by one vote each. However, the latter did not comply with the rules because many of the nominated candidates did not make the nomination. He did not provide a list of former party presidents who had previously applied for the presidency. Attila Mesterházy, as he did not understand the story of the MSZP with an unprecedented closed list vote, which he said was not informed in time.

He became chairman of the board with a slightly larger majority, 93 percent, who had already held the position (before Ágnes Kunhalmi) Istvan Hiller elected, and the president of the National Council of Ethics and Conciliation by 90 percent of the votes Tamás Harangozó converted.
