Gyás Gáspár is on trial for budget fraud, who told Blikk that the prosecutor had asked for a fine in one case and a prison sentence in another.

The bottom line is that the previously established family business was not properly taxed, according to the prosecution, and personal expenses were accounted for as part of business expenses. In that process, according to the indictment, Győző and his brother, Zsolti, acquired luxury cars for foreign companies, but in reality they were used by relatives and VAT was not paid.

In both cases, the damage was almost HUF 100 million, of which a total of HUF 56 million could be credited to Győző’s account, but it paid for it, mainly through loans.

Gáspár Győző told the newspaper:

I didn’t do anything, I didn’t cheat, I didn’t steal, I’m going to prove it. I have already paid almost 60 million guilders, although he had not stolen that money from me before. Still, I wanted this to end, so we transferred the amount.
