The Volner Party, which is to be formed on Saturday, seeks not only a parliamentary presence, but also a decisive influence on Hungarian public life, János Volner, an independent member of Parliament, announced at a press conference in Budapest on Saturday, according to the MTI.
He said the party will be formed with young intellectuals and a more experienced intellectual lunar courtyard. The former right-wing politician previously appeared in Nuestro País, but also broke with them last fall.
Its aim is to remain in the opposition with its acquired parliamentary seats, without participating in unprincipled political negotiations, to create a program for the sustainable development of the country and help “make Hungary a democracy again,” he said.
According to János Volner, neither Fidesz nor the left-wing coalition will be able to obtain a parliamentary majority in the 2022 parliamentary elections, and a minority government will be formed.
They are working with the Volner Party for a government of experts committed to national affairs that can lift Hungary and all of Hungarian society by creating security and prosperity, he added.
In outlining his program, he highlighted that they see the multitude of families who have children as basic units of the renewal of the nation, support the traditional family model and see the activities of historic churches as a value to be preserved.
He said the power of Europe is seen in the diversity of peoples who live in nation-states and reject the idea of a United States of Europe and a plan for a multicultural society through migration, like all forms of extremism. Extreme liberalism is currently the greatest threat to the peoples of Europe after the Nazi and Communist regimes. In response to a question, he noted that the party will be assisted by professional staff with their experience in the private and business sectors.
