In Romania, authorities reported the deaths of another 42 coronavirus patients on Saturday, bringing the death toll to more than 4,400, the MTI writes. In the last 24 hours, another 1,333 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus, roughly the average of the last two weeks and almost four hundred less than the new record registered for the week.
To date, more than 111,000 people in the country have been diagnosed with coronavirus, more than 89,000 of whom have been cured, bringing the number of known active infections to 18,000. Currently, fewer than 7,000 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospitals, and the number of severe cases has fluctuated below five hundred since the beginning of September: 461 people were treated in intensive care on Saturday.
On Friday (after a pause of a few days) 45,000 more healers appeared in the data series than before, after a ministerial decree stipulated that not only those infected with two negative coronavirus tests but also the family doctor could declare them cured by means of telephone consultation. Also excluded from the statistics are infected people in home isolation, as well as asymptomatic infected people who are discharged from the hospital ten days after a negative test.
The coronavirus infection continues to spread rapidly in Ukraine, with more than 3,200 new patients registered on Saturday. Along with them, the number of infected people identified so far has approached 172,000 and the number of deaths has exceeded 3,500.
In the last day, the number of confirmed infected people rose to 172,712 with 3,240 new cases, and the number of deaths increased to 3,516 with 48 more deaths, while 76,754 have recovered so far, 1,268 of them the day before. There are currently 92,442 patients treated for coronavirus infection, an increase from 1,924 in one day.
In Poland, the number of infected people set a daily record: 1,002 new cases were registered in the last day. The death toll increased by twelve. The country has 78,330 infected people and 2,282 deaths from the coronavirus. So far, 63,861 have been built. The Health Ministry said that 1977 people suspected of being infected are being treated in the hospital, 118,864 are in quarantine and 11,494 are under epidemiological surveillance.
The reintroduction of an emergency situation in the Czech Republic due to the spread of the coronavirus cannot be ruled out.

The number of people infected with the coronavirus decreased slightly in Croatia and Slovenia. In Croatia, the number of infected people has increased by 212 in the last 24 hours and has reached 14,725. Another 234 cases were reported Thursday. I had another death, leaving 245 dead and 12,353 recovered. Of the patients, 288 are in hospital, 24 of whom are hooked up to a ventilator. The number of active patients is 2,128.
In Slovenia, the number of infected people rose from 114 to 4,309 on Friday, according to data released by the government. A record number of 137 new cases was reported Thursday. One death occurred, bringing the death toll from the epidemic to 141 so far. Of the diagnosed patients, 67 are hospitalized, eleven of whom are treated in the intensive care unit. The number of patients needing hospital care has doubled since last week. The number of active infections is 1,187.
In Slovenia, so far only masks should be worn in closed public places, and from Saturday it will also be mandatory in markets, city centers and outdoor events. Violators can be penalized with fines of between 400 and 4,000 euros, that is, from 140,000 to 1.4 million guilders.
