The investigation into last year’s domestic violence in Győr has been completed. A 47-year-old man began strangling his wife after she announced that she wanted a divorce. His grip was so strong that he passed out. The man facing the deed tried to atone for the subsequent wife, who nevertheless called the police. His injuries were quite serious, the forensic medical expert classified the injury as indirectly life threatening, in his opinion, the immediate danger of life and death was left only due to the accident and medical help, writes police.hu.
The attack led to criminal proceedings against the husband and the court ordered his preventive detention. However, he did not calm the situation and repeatedly tried to contact his wife, bombarded him with messages and tried to build a bad reputation among his acquaintances and friends with intimate photos of him.
The investigation launched by the Pest County Police Headquarters completed an investigation into the soon-to-be attempted murder of the husband and a well-founded suspicion of stalking, and sent the file to the prosecutor’s office with a motion to prosecute.
