Tibor Lakatos, the head of the operational tension service center said they are monitoring the latest epidemiological data, measurements from the surrounding countries. The police continued the tasks started in the spring, which was complemented by the reintroduction of border control starting in August. Official home quarantine is being inspected, and traditionally more than 56,000 cases have been electronically inspected in more than 1 million cases in the recent period. “We are ready to keep the further spread of the epidemic under control,” he said.

Müller Cecília He said the epidemic had subsided in the early summer, but we knew it was not over and now we are witnessing the outbreak again. In late summer, the number of infected people began to increase, and by the fifth day the number of new cases is approaching a thousand. This is the nature of a pandemic.

We knew there would be another wave and after a successful spring defense this epidemic would be different from the spring wave so the treatment of the epidemic would be different.

Life stopped around us in the spring. There was a lot of anticipation, since then we have become better acquainted with the nature of the virus, the spread of the epidemic, researchers are constantly investigating. That is why we are using a different strategy in the second wave, ”said medical director Cecília Müller.

The epidemic now has a completely different face.

While in the spring it is mainly the elderly, now the most affected are the young. According to the current situation, the age group between 20 and 29 years is the most affected. In them, the disease occurs in a mild form, either asymptomatic or in a few days, but they can transmit the virus to high-risk groups. Therefore, the elderly and those with chronic diseases remain the most vulnerable. Defense now is primarily about being able to live our daily lives, but doing everything safely. These two tasks must be solved throughout a procedure, along an epidemic management strategy, that is why the new rules are born.

In the spring, the epidemic paralyzed almost the entire country, to avoid this we are now implementing rules that will allow it to be avoided.

Cecília Müller is now addressing primarily the younger generation, urging them to follow the rules so as not to transmit the infection to the elderly, for whom the disease can even be fatal.

Cecília Müller spoke about the new rules that will be introduced from Monday. She said about wearing a mask that until now It was allowed to cover our faces with a scarf or a shawl, we have to wear a regular mask next week. The opening hours of catering establishments are limited because experience has shown that people with very different health conditions have been able to crash in these places. Flu vaccination can be helpful now, and those who vaccinate themselves will also help the health system. Cecília Müller said, adding that the vaccination will be available to everyone for free at family doctors.

Responding to a question about the lack of capacity in the health system, Cecília Müller said that she was constantly monitoring capacities. There is a plan to focus on caring for coronavirus patients, which is also in the interest of patients because this is how they receive proper care.

Under the plan, healthcare providers will continue to enter as soon as they reach 80 percent, healthcare institutions will send a signal to the operating tribe, and the next institution will enter care.

But the second line has not yet become necessary, added the medical director.

We are in the ascending phase of the second wave, the number of laboratory tests is growing and we are preparing to include additional capabilities in the sampling, said Cecília Müller.

In response to a question about reducing the duration of the official home quarantine, Cecília Müller said that several countries had introduced a 10-day surveillance. The average incubation time is about 5-6 days, in 10 days the infection is most likely available. A 10-day quarantine has also entered into force in Austria.

In the world, the proportion of health workers among those infected is 20 to 30 percent, and in our second wave it is only 5 percent.
