The new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was detected in 581 new Hungarian citizens, thus increasing the number of infected people identified in Hungary to 14,460, writes koronavirus.gov.hu.
Eight chronic patients have died, bringing the number of deaths to 654 and 4,153 have already recovered.
The number of active infections is 9653. 42% of the active infected, 58% of the dead and 42% of those recovered are from Budapest. There are 324 hospitalized coronavirus patients, 18 of whom are on ventilators.
According to the information, the data of new infections also warn, the second wave of the epidemic is occurring in Hungary, the virus is already spreading in the community. As they write, the government’s goal is to keep the country running and not let the virus paralyze everyday life, so the general rules that are already in place and easy to follow are now even more important. They ask that the rules of mandatory use of masks be strictly respected in shops and on public transport!
They warn that to stop the spread of the community, you should continue to avoid places where there are many people inside, preferably maintaining social distance, and it is important to wash your hands well frequently. They are also required to strictly adhere to a person who has been ordered to go into official home quarantine for a stay abroad or for any other reason. Anyone with symptoms should not go into the community but stay home and notify their GP by phone.
