Almost 290,000 were infected in one day and the number of people recovered increased by more than 220,000 worldwide.
The epidemic continues to spread throughout the world. According to the latest data from the US Johns Hopkins University, updated Wednesday morning, the number of infected people approached 29.6 million. This means that 381,000 people were infected in one day, the latter figure being almost 100,000 more than the increase of the previous day. In other words, the epidemic spread faster.
The number of people cured rose by 304,000 to more than 20 million compared to Tuesday, with a total of 7,741 people killed by the disease caused by the virus, bringing the death toll to almost 935,000.

Of the various countries in the world, the United States has the worst situation: the authorities are aware that more than 6.6 million people are infected, India has more than 5 million and Brazil has 4.4 million.
