Twenty-one students and nine teachers have coronavirus at Lauder Javne Community School – hvg.hu found out. Gábor Horányi, general director of the institution, said that before the start of classes, the children were on school trips, they were subjected to a PCR screening of the community fund created for this purpose, for which they found four positive cases. Current infections are largely attributable to them.

The three students who are currently infected and have previously suffered from the disease mean that 3.3 percent of the 1,000-person institution was diagnosed with COVID-19, according to the portal.

Thanks to the local epidemiological protocol and rapid detection, there was no need to close the school in Lauder. The evaluation is funded by the Back to School Fund, part of which is conducted by the school and part by parents on a voluntary basis.

The CEO also said that none of the positive cases that were leaked in the capital received the red card, although none of them voluntarily left their apartment. They did not experience such a problem in their rural students.

Gábor Horányi hopes that in the short term they will have to switch to hybrid education, which was already effective in middle and elementary school in the spring, but it is certainly more difficult to go to kindergarten and elementary school. Fortunately, our students are socialized to be partners and take responsibility together, and the current situation, no matter how strange, has a community-building effect, said the principal.
