The Pest County Attorney General’s Office has prosecuted twenty people who participated in the massive fighting in Ráckeve last year, in which several people were seriously injured, the county attorney general told MTI.

A conflict arose between the two families because a member of one family had become ill from a mind-altering drug that he had received from a member of the other family. Because of this, more than ten members of the patient’s family showed up at the other family’s home with iron pipes, swords, knives, hoes, shovels, iron forks, and rubber bullet guns.

When they found out about this, members of the threatened family living in the area also armed themselves and came to the scene in almost twenty. There was a massive street fight between the two groups, which ended with several serious and life-threatening injuries due to the objects used as weapons.

In the case, the Pest County Attorney General’s Office filed charges against twenty people, including felony crimes against life (attempted murder, death threat, and serious bodily injury), as well as repeatedly classified harassment and endangering to a minor.
