Zsolt Vadász, leader of the Trabant Expedition, which also organizes car tours, decided to pick up the garbage left by people who walk along El Camino.

So far, Hunter has collected more than 500 gallons of trash on the pilgrimage, he told Sunday Blikk in an interview. He plans his unusual tour for 75-80 days and clears the sections of El Camino, or St. James’s Way, that lead to the green. It does not pick up trash with trash clamps around cities, but mainly cleans forest trails, hiking trails, and pilgrimage routes marked GR65. As he says: he searches for empty bottles, empty soda cans, puts them in big bags and places them in suburban collection containers.

As a success, he records that his action is in solidarity with others, and several pilgrims have already approached him to help with the work.

Zsolt Vadász is generally not known for his hiking excursions, writes Blikk. He is the leader of the Trabant Expedition, but since the Trabant tours in Africa are now unfeasible due to border closures and armed clashes in Mali, he will park the vehicle for a while.
