Another 476 were found infected by coronavirus, two elderly died

The new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was detected in 476 new Hungarian citizens, thus increasing the number of infected people identified in Hungary to 10,191, writes koronavirus.gov.hu.

Two chronically elderly patients have died, bringing the death toll to 630, and 3,990 have already recovered. The number of actively infected people is 5,571. 43% of the actively infected, 59% of the dead and 42% of those recovered are from Budapest. There are 234 hospitalized coronavirus patients, 11 of whom are on ventilators.

According to the information, as the data on new infections warn, the epidemic is not over, the second wave has reached Hungary, the number of active infections is increasing again, so it is still very important to maintain discipline, entry restrictions and general hygiene rules.

As they write, the introduction of the virus poses the greatest threat to the health and work of the Hungarian people, so the conditions for entry from abroad have been tightened again. According to the Statutes, foreign citizens cannot enter the territory of Hungary, and Hungarian citizens returning from abroad are required to have an official home quarantine of 14 days.

They warn that to curb the spread of the community, we will continue to avoid places where there are a lot of people inside, preferably keep a social distance, wash your hands frequently and thoroughly, wear a mask in stores and on public transport. Anyone who has been ordered to have an official home quarantine for a stay abroad or for any other reason must strictly comply. Anyone with symptoms should not go into the community but stay home and notify their GP by phone. By adhering to all of this, we can prevent the spread of infection and introduce new measures that restrict our daily lives.
