A member of the district parliament visited the county council meeting on August 28, György Simonka, and not everyday scenes as a result – it results from the coverage of magyarnarancs.hu, which was made on the basis of a sound recording of the event.
The origin of the conflict is that the independent mayor of the municipality, Gábor Varga and György Simonka don’t particularly like each other.
There have been twists like this: “Mr. Representative, do you think we’re completely stupid?” Simonka asked after her words of instruction. ifj. Gábor Varga Deputy Mayor “No” – was the answer. Although it does. We are not clowns ”, declared the deputy mayor.
However, the most interesting part was when György Simonka said in connection with his own criminal proceedings (this part was cut separately by magyarnarancs.hu, you can listen to it on the page).
It is also true that when we are here that I have been silent for three years, they have told me to listen because I cannot say a word before the judicial process. This will happen in October. I started earlier because the trial was scheduled for May 12, where I can say, I will say it and we will prove that the charge is zero. Because it doesn’t have the legal terms, the prosecutors did it in a stomach-churning way, and I’ll tell this to the camera now, they’ve been fired ever since. If you’re trying to suspect me, people have turned against me for this, so be it!

It is not necessary to be a mayor to be in office, but to be able to achieve results. I don’t want to be a Member of Parliament, (previously) I wanted to be a Member of Parliament. I think that if I wanted and wanted to go, people had already voted for me three times. As I have not been able to defend myself for the last two or three years so as not to influence the process, they have developed an image of me that does not cover reality. (…) I hired a staff whose job is to prove that I am right. I didn’t work to be a representative because I could earn a lot more money as an entrepreneur and be able to be with my family, my friends and take care of everything else. I have achieved results you did not dare to dream of.
György Simonka’s criminal trial will begin on October 13 at the Metropolitan Court. The Fidesz Member of Parliament and his associates are accused by the Central Investigating Prosecutor’s Office of committing criminal fraud, embezzlement and forgery in a particularly conspiratorial criminal organization. According to the indictment, the value of the damages related to the production and sales cooperative amounts to 1.4 billion HUF.
